Get answers, complete tasks, and stay on top of your workforce program

Once an AI assistant is connected to Beeline MCP, a manager can ask questions that arise while running an extended workforce program. The examples below are grouped by task and written as a user might type them. Exact wording is not required, and assistants understand natural variations.

New to MCP?

Start with Beeline MCP: Connecting AI assistants and agents to workforce Programs.

Looking for the latest tools and actions?

Available tools and actions depend on your organization's configuration and your permissions. Visit the Beeline MCP Portal for the current list available to you.

What you can do with Beeline MCP

Beeline MCP helps managers complete common workforce management tasks using natural language. Instead of navigating through multiple pages, you can ask questions, review information, and complete supported actions through an MCP-compatible AI assistant.

Depending on your role and permissions, you can use MCP to:

  • Review and act on pending approvals
  • Monitor requests and candidate activity
  • Check assignment status and upcoming end dates
  • Review SOWs, projects, and supplier activity
  • Get summaries of workforce activity across multiple areas of Beeline
  • Complete supported workflow actions, such as approvals, notes, and status changes

Results always reflect your Beeline permissions and the current workflow status of each item.

TIP: Specific questions get the best answers. Naming the supplier, request, candidate, or time frame helps the assistant return exactly what is needed. Results always reflect each user's Beeline role and permissions.

Keep approvals moving

Beeline MCP can help you identify pending approvals, understand approval details, and complete routine approval tasks without leaving the conversation. Clear time and expense approvals quickly and with confidence.

  • “How many timesheet and expense approvals are waiting on me, and which suppliers are they from?"
  • “Show all pending timesheets exceeding 40 hours, with workers, suppliers, costs and comments."
  • “Walk me through how the estimated cost on this timesheet was calculated, day by day."
  • “What steps does this approval go through, and where does it stand now?"
  • “Approve the pending timesheets I just reviewed that are under 40 hours."
  • “Complete the task that is waiting for me on this item."

Evaluate and decide on candidates

Review candidate submissions, compare request information, access supporting details, and take next-step actions during the hiring process. Move from "who is new?" to a confident decision without leaving the conversation.

  • “Show all new candidates awaiting my review and for which requests they were submitted."
  • “For my open requests, how many candidates are at each status?"
  • “Show candidates I have marked as favorites."
  • “What are the job description, location and start date for the request this candidate was submitted to?"
  • “Show the notes on this candidate and where I can find their resume."
  • “Add a note to this candidate that the supplier confirmed availability for the start date."
  • “Approve the offer for this candidate."
  • “Reject this candidate because the supplier cannot meet the requested start date."

Stay on top of requests

Monitor request activity, understand current status, identify available actions, and make updates as business needs and priorities change. Understand where each need stands and act when priorities change.

  • “Where does each of my open requests stand, and what actions are available on each?"
  • “Show requests that are currently on hold."
  • “Which requests have been delegated to me by another manager?"
  • “Which requests can I see through my organization, beyond the ones I own?"
  • “Place this request on hold while the budget is confirmed."
  • “Reopen this request now that the budget is approved."
  • “Cancel this request, because the role is no longer needed."

Know who is working and where

Get visibility into your active extended workforce, track assignment activity, and identify upcoming staffing changes that may require attention. Get a clear view of the extended workforce already in place.

  • “Show my active assignments, grouped by supplier."
  • “Which of my assignments end in the next 30 days?"
  • “Which assignments have been delegated to me while a colleague is out?"
  • “Which assignments can I see through my organization, grouped by supplier?"

Track SOWs and projects

Monitor supplier-delivered work from the statement of work through project completion, including budgets, amendments, attachments, and project activity. Keep supplier-delivered work visible from the statement of work to the project.

  • “Show all my SOWs with their status, supplier, and amount."
  • “Is there a pending amendment on this project, and who are the supplier contacts?"
  • “Generate an export document for this SOW so it can be shared with finance."
  • “Show my projects with their budget and current status."
  • “Which attachments on this project are visible to the supplier?"
  • “Add a note to this project that the milestone review is complete."

Plan the day or prepare for a review

Use broader prompts to combine information from multiple tools and receive a consolidated view of what matters most. This can help managers prepare for meetings, supplier reviews, status updates, and daily prioritization without having to manually gather information across multiple screens.

  • “What needs my attention today? Include pending approvals, new candidates, and requests on hold."
  • “Give me a snapshot of my extended workforce: active assignments by supplier, open requests, and pending approvals."
  • “I have a supplier review coming up. Summarize my SOWs and projects with status, supplier, and budget."

Good to know

As you explore these examples, remember that your assistant works within the same permissions, workflows, and safeguards used throughout Beeline Enterprise. The following tips can help set expectations for what it can and cannot do.

  • Irreversible actions are confirmed first. Rejecting a candidate or approval step and canceling a request require explicit confirmation before they run.
  • Permissions and workflow state apply. If an item is not waiting on the user or its status does not allow an action, the assistant cannot complete it, just as in the Beeline interface.
  • Bulk approvals do not carry per-item comments. Single approvals are the better choice when a comment matters.
  • Trust, but verify. Assistants summarize and reason well, but high-stakes decisions should include additional oversight.
