Beeline’s flexible user-defined cost allocation methodology lets you easily define, capture and track extended workforce costs with precision. You can also gather analytics and generate reports showing cost allocation distributions on financials.

You can choose to add cost allocation-related fields to reports based on these templates.

  • Assignment Definition
  • BTE Project Base
  • Combined Spend reports, such as Combined Spend Base
  • Expenses Definition
  • Financial Payment Register
  • Request Definition
  • Timesheets Definition

Here’s the list of cost allocation-related fields you can add to reports.

Field Description
Unit The portion of a product, service, time, activity, or combination to which cost is estimated
Row # The line number associated with the cost allocation string.
Effective Date The date the cost allocation string was valid within your organization’s system and could be applied to expenditures.
Header ID The value set in the cost allocation reference.

To create a report showing cost allocation distributions on financials, complete these steps from your Enterprise dashboard.

  1. Navigate to the report of your choice using one of these options:
    • Select Report Gallery. Next, locate the report, and then select Run.
      OR
    •  Select Admin > Reports. Enter the report name in the Report Name field on the Reports Administration page, and then select Search. Next, locate the report from the list at the bottom of the page, and then select Open with Report Builder.
  2. From the Fields tab, choose columns from the available cost allocation-related fields.
  3. From the Filters tab, choose any filters you want to apply.
  4. After you define filters, select Create Report.

Your report is created, and you can view cost allocation details.
