CAC

Cost Allocation Code; converged term is allocation code.

 

CAM

Customer Account Manager (acronym)

The application-based role required to support a particular client. Individuals are listed as the CAM on a requisition in the IQN platform. On Managed Service Provider accounts, the CAM is referred to as a Sourcing Consultant.

 

Candidate

The talent submitted manually or by automated matching to a requisition for an open position in the Beeline platform. An applicant for a job who has been prequalified for temp or fulltime consideration.

Also used to distinguish an individual from a pool of unqualified applicants.

Candidate Compare

Feature was sunset EOY 2020. Candidate Compare is replaced by the Candidate Evaluation module, which had General Availability on October 26, 2019.

Beeline feature that allows a user to filter the list of talent, view talent details, compare skills, certifications, tenure, and a number of other attributes helping them to see how all of the talent stacks up against one another.

CDF

Client-Defined Fields (initialism)

This term replaces User-Defined Field (UDF).

A section or field in the application a client uses to record any additional required information for which a standard field is unavailable in the application. CDFs are used to capture client-specific information pertinent to the decision making or the approval process throughout the procurement lifecycle. CDFs can be made available on various system transactions.

Work added to or deleted from the original scope of work of a contract. Depending on the magnitude of the change, it may or may not alter the original contract amount and/or completion date. A change order may force a new project to handle significant changes to the current project.

Contingent Workforce Management (CWM) processes typically include: requisition, approval, release, sourcing, evaluation, onboarding, management, payment, offboarding, and performance evaluation of the contingent workforce. Duties may also include quality and performance management of workforce suppliers.

Obsolete term for the Beeline platform included the Beeline platform, a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or a Program Management Office (PMO), Analytics and Business Intelligence, Services Procurement, Resource Tracking, and Professional Services.

CLM (initialism)

Streamlines management of each contract, making it easier for companies to deal with tens to thousands of vital contracts that affect their business and could expose them to risk.

The process of identifying, aggregating, and assigning costs to one or more cost objects.

Those selected cost objects carry over to the assignment and then to the billing where the invoiced amount for the assignment is split across each of the cost objects according to their cost allocation option: percentage, unit or amount. Cost allocations can be amended.

A client-determined value that specifies how the client plans to allocate and report on costs within its financial organization

User Interface fields that map to the client's internal accounting charge codes, designating which charge codes a contractor can bill their time against, based on whatever the hiring manager has designated for that contractor on their assignments or project billing. 

Keeping close track of the expenses of operating using a cost center allows an organization to control total costs, allocate resources more strategically, and calculate profitability on a product or department basis. Tracking costs by function allows clients to allocate scarce resources wisely.

Also, a Beeline platform organizational hierarchy used to allocate objects (requests, assignments, projects) and spend to specific client cost centers and business units.

 

Customer

A user who is responsible for creating and curating an organization's talent experience from acquisition to onboarding and offboarding. Curators can manage the talent pipeline, identify current and future hiring needs, prepare role profiles, advertise job openings, generate longlist and conduct initial interviews.
