| Direct Hire | Someone who is hired into an organization immediately into a permanent position. A direct hire does not start at the company in a temporary work assignment through an employment agency, as is the case with temp-to-hire. Based on the client's Vendor Management System (VMS) configuration, Hiring Managers may also have the authority to disqualify a candidate. |
