DBA

Database Administrator (initialism)

Make sure data analysts and other users can easily use databases to find the information they need and that systems perform as they should. Some DBAs oversee the development of new databases. They have to determine the needs of the database and who will be using it.

Use specialized software to store and organize data. The role may include capacity planning, installation, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery.

 

Delegates

Designates one or more users who can approve tasks, timesheets, expenses, or run reports on behalf of another user (delegator).

Someone who is hired into an organization immediately into a permanent position. A direct hire does not start at the company in a temporary work assignment through an employment agency, as is the case with temp-to-hire.

A scenario where a company who intends to hire a candidate offers them the job directly.

An action that removes a candidate from the review and evaluation process for an active request. During the screening process of the procurement cycle, a candidate can be disqualified due to their skill set, rate, or other attribute determined by the client.

A Managed Service Provider (MSP) or a Program Management Office (PMO) user can disqualify a candidate. Based on the client's Vendor Management System (VMS) configuration, Hiring Managers may also have the authority to disqualify a candidate.
