| Earning Code | aka pay code An attribute of the rate that differentiates the different bill rates associated with a contract worker. Examples include regular time rate, overtime rate, or double-time rate. The rate agreed upon by the Supplier and billed on an invoice. |

| Engagement Manager | Person responsible for all billing and invoicing of the client and managing client expectations. Usually, she or he also own all accounts payable issues arising from the project. The Bureau of Labor Statistics defines an engagement manager as a management consultant. |

| Executive Search | Informally called headhunting. A specialized recruitment service which organizations pay to seek out and recruit highly qualified candidates for senior-level and executive jobs, such as President, Vice-president, or CEO. Recruitment of executive level resources on a full-time and/or permanent basis. Typically, at the executive level and the individual's cultural and management fit within the client company. |

| Express Assignment | Created from an express requisition filled for a daily and recurring requisition and for assignments associated with project agreements. Replaces a traditional Work Order. Contains contractual and non-contractual information and can be updated/edited at any time by the hiring manager. Express Assignments don't require much negotiation between the client and the supplier. |

| Express Requisition | A shorter version of the traditional Job Requisition that supports Rate Cards, recurring requisitions, and daily requisitions. A one-page requisition entry online form completed by the Express Requisition Manager/Hiring Manager with all pertinent details needed to express a job need. |

| External ID | A client’s unique identification for a worker used to identify the worker and to align profile records when data is transferred using import and/or feed files. The external ID is typically the first initial of the person's first name, the person's last name, and the last four digits of the person's Social Security Number; for example, jknows1234. |
