A value that means something to the client, commonly an accounting code or cost center. A cost allocation code is usually made up of multiple segments

The process of identifying, evaluating, and obtaining different types of services that are important to the general operation of a business.

Usually, the process of procurement is conducted using in-house resources. Some clients also use procurement systems and consultants to locate and contract the services they need.

Beeline’s Services Procurement solution provides support for the entire procurement lifecycle, from sourcing, through negotiation, to engagement management, and invoicing with the flexibility to use only the needed components. Services projects include contingent contract workers providing services on an arrangement other than just time and expense (usually a Statement of Work) and not managed day-to-day by a Client employee.

A Managed Service Provider for project-based or outsourced-based services. Includes the framework, process, and technology to automate the requisition, management, and payment of services secured through project and outsourced providers.

Sole-Source

One "source" or means of acquiring all of your staffing needs. Commonly referred to Sole-Source Supplier, which allows a client company to go to one recruiter (firm) for all their staffing needs. (Permanent, Temp-to-Perm, Contract, Payrolling, etc.)

 

Sourcing

A segment of the procurement process wherein you send a job request to a community of Suppliers to fulfill a request/job position.

 

Sourcing Event

A business process from creation to awarding contracts to participating vendors. An event has a status, corresponding to each stage in the event process, determining which vendors are still participating and the actions available to them. A common progression might be RFI->RFP(T)->RFQ->Award.

The method of acquiring the desired work outcome. The Sourcing Type represents a specific bundle that implies differentiated templates and business logic. Examples of Sourcing Types are:  Contingent Labor, Direct Hire, Enterprise SOW, (Managed) Service, (Pre-Identified) Independent Contractor

A statement accompanying an RFx that specifies requirements at a high level, usually to include scope of work, location of work, period of performance, deliverables schedule, applicable industry standards and any special requirements.

A key executive or senior leader within an organization who supports and champions the contingent workforce program. Their role is crucial for several reasons:

  • Resource Allocation: They help secure necessary resources, including budget and personnel, to support the program.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: They facilitate communication and collaboration among various stakeholders, such as HR, procurement, legal, and finance.

  • Policy Enforcement: They support the implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures related to contingent staffing

 

SSN

Social Security Number

Social Security number is a nine-digit number issued to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and temporary residents under section 205 of the Social Security Act, codified as 42 U.S.C. § 405. The number is issued to an individual by the Social Security Administration, an independent agency of the United States government.

 

SSO

Single Sign On

SSO occurs when a user logs in to one application and is then automatically signed into other applications, regardless of the platform, technology, or domain the user is using.

SSO allows clients to sign on to their application and the IQN Vendor Management System at the same time using only one logon username and password.

Stinger

This term has been replaced by  Horizon.

Internal-only technical code name for the project .NET Framework and Services Architecture.

 

Stinger to Beeline

A utility process that runs under Beeline Processing Service or as a SQL Agent Job scheduled to run against the OLTP database.  At its heart is a stored procedure used to sync data from Procurement into tables that support BTE (Beeline Time and Expense).   This data includes but is not limited to Resources, Cost Center, Pay Codes (Earning Codes), and Projects.

Task performed by Suppliers or Vendors in the Beeline platform When a requisition is received, Suppliers and Vendors review their resource pool, and then submit eligible candidates to the client for review.

 

Supplier

Staffing companies who use the Beeline platform to provide the best-suited candidates to the positions posted by a client.

Suppliers can use the Beeline platform to maintain their candidates, receive new positions, receive remittance, and collect timesheet information. Suppliers are the employers of the contractors, who are working for a client. Most clients have a preferred Supplier list that is specific to their labor category and/or geography.

Suppliers should not be called vendors.

Also, a distinct procurement persona in the Beeline platform billing process.
