Before you start: This article applies to users who log in with a Beeline Identity (email and password). If your organization uses single sign-on (SSO), follow your company’s login process. See Logging in to Beeline Enterprise.

Verify your identity and keep your login secure

Multifactor authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your Beeline Enterprise VMS login. After you enter your email and password, you confirm your identity using a one-time code or another verification method.

During setup, you enroll with Beeline’s authentication provider (Auth0), which securely manages MFA for your account. You only complete this setup once. After that, MFA becomes a quick, repeatable step each time you log in.

MFA is part of the Beeline Identity login process and adds a second step to verify your identity during sign-in. MFA helps protect your account while keeping your login fast and consistent.

How to use MFA: Quick guide (fast path)

🔷Use this quick reference for the fastest way to set up, log in, or recover access.

Set up MFA (first time only)

  1. Log in with your email and password.
  2. Scan the QR code using your authenticator app.
  3. Enter the 6-digit code from the app.
  4. Save your recovery code somewhere secure.
  5. Select Continue.

✅ Done—MFA is now set up.

Log in with MFA (daily use)

  1. Enter your email and password.
  2. Open your authenticator app.
  3. Enter the current 6-digit code.
  4. Select Continue.

✅ You’re logged in.

If you can’t use your app

Option 1: Email

  1. Select Try another method
  2. Choose Email
  3. Enter the code sent to your email

Option 2: Recovery code

  1. Select Try another method.
  2. Choose Recovery code.
  3. Enter your saved code.
  4. Save the new code generated.

If you lose your device

  1. Log in using email or a recovery code.
  2. Go to Settings > My Preferences > My Identity.
  3. Select Reset MFA.
  4. Log in again and set up MFA on your new device.

Key reminders

  • Codes refresh every ~30 seconds—use them quickly.
  • Recovery codes are single-use—save the new one each time.
  • Resetting MFA removes your old device setup.

✅ Quick and easy: Type your password, add a code, and you’re signed in safely.

Why it matters

  • Protects your Beeline account with an added identity check.
  • Keeps your work and data secure even if your password is exposed.
  • Reduces the risk of unauthorized access.
  • Ensures you can still log in using backup verification methods.

Who it’s for

  • Users accessing Beeline Enterprise VMS (clients, suppliers, contractors, program users)
  • Users whose organizations require MFA
  • Users logging in with a Beeline Identity (not SSO)
  • Anyone who needs secure access from different devices

How it helps

  • Adds strong protection with a simple second step during login.
  • Lets you log in quickly using a one-time code.
  • Provides backup options such as email or recovery codes.
  • Keeps access consistent and reliable across devices.

Ways to verify your identity

Method What you do When to use it
Authenticator app (TOTP) Enter a 6-digit code Standard and fastest method
Email verification Enter a code sent to your email When your app is unavailable
Recovery code Enter your saved code When other methods are not available

💡 Use any authentication app that supports time-based one-time passwords (TOTP).

💡 MFA setup happens once. After that, verification becomes a quick, repeatable step.

Choose an authentication app

Use an authentication app to generate your verification codes.

  • You can use any app that supports standard time-based codes (TOTP)
  • Most apps generate a new 6-digit code every ~30 seconds

Common options

  • Microsoft® Authenticator
  • Google® Authenticator
  • Twilio Authy®
  • Cisco Duo® (Duo Mobile)
  • LastPass® Authenticator

💡 You can install these apps on your mobile device or use a browser extension on your computer (if supported).

What this means

When you use MFA, you confirm your identity with a second step during login. This means:

  • You enter your password as usual.
  • You enter a time-based verification code or choose another method.
  • Each login includes an extra layer of protection.
  • You can still access your account using backup methods if your device is unavailable.

💡 Think of MFA as a second verification step that confirms your identity using something only you can access—like your device or email.

Important behavior

  • Complete setup the first time MFA is required
  • Codes expire quickly—use them immediately
  • Select Try another method to use email or a recovery code
  • Recovery codes are single-use and regenerate after use
  • Save your recovery code or you may lose access
  • Authentication apps generate a new code about every 30 seconds
  • Your device must have the correct time for codes to work
  • Resetting MFA removes your current setup and requires re-enrollment

How to steps

Information in this article reflects a standard Enterprise configuration. Your Enterprise platform is based on your organization’s configuration. Settings and/or data visibility rules may vary slightly from what is described.

Setting up MFA (first time)

Follow these steps from any supported browser the first time you log in. You only need to complete this once.

  1. Sign in: Go to your Beeline login page and enter your email and password.
    • What this does: Starts the login process
    • Why this matters: Begins MFA setup

  2. On the Secure your account page, open your authenticator app.
    • What this does: Prepares your device
    • Why this matters: Allows setup to continue

💡 Example: Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator

  3. Scan the QR code displayed on screen.
    • What this does: Links your account to your app.
    • Why this matters: Enables your app to generate login codes.

💡 If you can’t scan the QR code, select Trouble scanning to enter a setup code manually.

  4. Enter the 6-digit code from your app.

    • What this does: Verifies your setup.
    • Why this matters: Confirms your app is connected.

💡 If the code expires, wait for a new one and try again.

  5. Copy and store your recovery code in a secure location.

    • What this does: Creates a backup login method.
    • Why this matters: Lets you access your account if your device is unavailable.

⚠️ If you don’t save your recovery code, you may not be able to log in later.

  6. Select Continue to complete setup.

    • What this does: Finalizes MFA enrollment with Auth0.
    • Why this matters: Secures all future logins.

After setup:

  • You log in using your email and password.
  • You verify your identity using a code or backup method.
  • You securely access your dashboard and continue working.
