Configure supplier-specific rate structures when rates vary across suppliers
A supplier-specific rate card is a rate card that applies to a specific supplier. Supplier-specific rate cards allow you to define different rates for the same position based on the supplier providing the resource.
Supplier-specific rate cards use the same core configuration as standard rate cards, with the addition of a supplier association. This article focuses on supplier-specific settings and considerations that differ from those in a standard rate card. If you're unfamiliar with the standard rate card configuration, see Add a rate card before completing this task.
After creating the necessary Job Classes, Job Titles, Rate Card Classes, and Rate Card Categories, you can create supplier-specific rate cards to support negotiated supplier rates.
Why it matters
- Supports negotiated supplier-specific pricing.
- Allows different suppliers to use different approved rates for the same position.
- Provides greater control over supplier-specific rate structures.
Who it's for
- Program Office users
- System Admins
How it helps
- Create supplier-specific rate cards.
- Associate rates with a specific supplier.
- Manage supplier-specific pricing within an Industry.
Important behavior
- Supplier-specific rate cards follow the same process as standard rate cards.
- Create a separate rate entry for each earning code variation associated with the rate card.
- Enter the Regular Time (RT) rate first, followed by any additional earning codes.
- Min Rate represents the pay rate to the resource.
- Rate represents the bill rate to the client.
Additional considerations
- Verify that a standard rate card already exists before creating supplier-specific variations.
- Use supplier-specific rate cards only when supplier rates differ from the standard rate structure.
- Maintain consistent earning code ordering across related rate cards.
Availability and setup
- Access to Admin > Procurement is required.
- The supplier must already be associated with the Industry.
- Job Classes, Job Titles, Rate Card Classes, and Rate Card Categories must already exist.
Before you begin
- Determine the supplier that requires a specific rate card.
- Gather the supplier-specific rates and earning code information.
- Verify that the applicable procurement structure already exists.

OR
