Reuse an existing rate structure to create new rate cards more quickly and consistently

Rate cards often share similar configurations across regions, labor categories, suppliers, or business units. Copying a rate card allows you to reuse an existing rate structure instead of creating a new one from scratch.

Use this function when a new rate card requires many of the same settings, earning codes, and rate structures as an existing rate card.

Why it matters

  • Promotes consistency across rate structures.
  • Reduces manual data entry when creating new rate cards.
  • Helps maintain standardized rate and billing configurations.

Who it's for

  • Program Office users responsible for procurement administration.
  • Administrators who manage workforce rates and rate card configuration.

How it helps

  • Create a new rate card from an existing one.
  • Reuse existing rate structures.
  • Reduce the time required to configure similar rate cards.

Important behavior

  • Review all copied values before saving the new rate card.
  • Update dates, categories, and any other information that should not be inherited from the source rate card.
  • Confirm the copied rate card reflects the intended business requirements before making it available for use.

Availability and setup

  • Access to Admin > Procurement > Rate Cards is required.
  • The source rate card must already exist.

Before you begin

  • Identify the rate card you want to copy.
  • Determine which values should be changed in the new rate card.
  • Gather any updated effective dates, categories, or rate information required for the copy.
