This article lists the steps you need to follow to extend an assignment while also amending the budget using classic Beeline Enterprise functionality. It is intended for Hiring Managers who do not use the Hiring Manager Experience or for Program Office staff who need to act on behalf of a Hiring Manager.

To extend an assignment while making budget adjustments:
- Navigate to your Beeline Enterprise Home dashboard.
- Locate the assignment you wish to extend. In the My To Do quadrant, click the contractor name link within the alert sentence, "___ is due to complete." The Assignment summary screen appears.
Users can also view assignments by searching for them using the Search box in the Header section.
- Click Amend.
- Select the Extend check box. The Effective Date defaults to the day after the end of the assignment.
When Extend is selected, the Amend box is automatically selected.
- Select/Enter an Extension Date.
- Click Next.
- Complete all required amendment details including selecting an option from the Budget Adjustment drop-down list.
- Click Next.
- Click OK. The assignment extension including the appropriate budget adjustment is now submitted for approval.
