Capture and store data unique to your program.
Beeline Enterprise provides thousands of native fields and fields for capturing and storing data essential to your contingent workforce program. You can capture transactions, personally identifiable information data, attachments, and much more.
Enterprise is designed to be your system of record for your contingent workforce data. Even so, your program may need a client-defined field (CDF) to:
- Capture data integral to your in-house systems.
- Capture client-specific information required for your decision-making and/or approval processes.
- Achieve greater flexibility for tracking your extended workforce.
CDFs and client-defined values (CDVs) are initially set up by Beeline personnel based on the specifications you provide. After the initial setup, your Enterprise administrator and/or a program office can manage CDF settings and values for your program via Self-Service.
You can make CDFs required or optional fields, set default values for CDF dropdown lists, and make CDFs interdependent. Plus, CDFs and CDVs can be used in your Beeline cost allocation component.
Main benefits
-
Capture data unique to your workflows and business practices with CDFs.
-
Define dependencies between CDFs and CDVs with cascading CDFs.
-
Control values available in CDF dropdown lists based on the interdependent relationships you define.
-
Default the correct CDV from a CDF dropdown list for your users and save them time while still giving them the flexibility to select a different value from when they need to.
-
Update CDV any time you need to align Enterprise data with your in-house systems.
Persona
Beeline administrators and program office users
Action required
Adding a CDF to Beeline Enterprise and to your workflows and granting users permissions to manage CDFs requires a Service Request ticket and Enterprise configuration. Cascading CDF dropdown values are a global setting.
Before a new CDF is created and added to your configuration, you and a Beeline team will evaluate and prioritize your request checking for these points:
- Ensure Personal Identifiable Information (PII) won’t be stored in the CDF.
- Determine whether an existing feature or function can be enhanced to meet your needs.
- Confirm that adding the CDF won’t impact your Enterprise performance and require a high-volume of maintenance.
- Evaluate market needs and trends related to the data point.
