How to steps

Information in this article reflects a standard Enterprise configuration. Your Enterprise platform is based on your organization’s configuration. Settings and/or data visibility rules may vary slightly from what is described.

As a program office user, you may need to act on another user’s behalf in Beeline Enterprise. You can easily Proxy, or Impersonate, another user from the Users page.

From the Users page, you can easily access all user profiles from a single list—regardless of user group, such as clients, MSPs, resources, and suppliers.

Your assigned Enterprise user role and security permissions determine which users you can impersonate. In general, you can only impersonate a user assigned to the same user level or to a lower level.

All actions in Beeline Enterprise are date, time and username stamped. Including actions you take while impersonating another user. The username stamp indicates the name of the active user who performed the actions and the impersonated user. All date, time, and user stamps are retained in the archival database for audit purposes.

To accomplish your task, complete these steps from your Enterprise dashboard.

  1. From the top Navigation menu, select Admin > Security. A Security Administration page displays.

  2. From the left Navigation panel, select the Users folder.

    A Users page displays.

  3. Use the fields on the Users page to enter identifying information about the user, and then select Search.

Search Results display at the bottom of the Users page.

  4. From the Search Results, select the Name link for the user you want to impersonate. A View User Details - Summary page displays.
TIP: Be sure you select an active user; you cannot proxy as an inactive user.

  5. From the Actions menu, select Proxy.

The page refreshes and displays content as if you were that user. The Welcome salutation changes to display Impersonating and the name of the user you’re impersonating.

  6. To stop impersonating a user, select on their name next to the Impersonating label.
