My authentication code isn’t working—what should I do?

Troubleshooting invalid 6-digit authentication codes in Beeline login and MFA setup

Authentication codes can occasionally fail due to small timing differences between your device and the server. This is a common issue

To resolve this, try ensuring your device’s date and time are set to update automatically. Then generate a new code and try again. If needed, restarting the setup process can also help.

Common causes

  • Device time is not synced
  • Authenticator app setup issue
  • Code expired before entry
  • QR code or setup key mismatch

How to fix It

Step 1: Sign in

  • Go to the login page and sign in with your username and password
  • When prompted, complete the Secure My Account step

Step 2: Enter your code

  • Open your authenticator app
  • Enter the latest 6-digit code

Step 3: If the code isn’t accepted

Sync your device time

  • Go to your device settings
  • Turn on Set date and time automatically

Try a new code

  • Open your authenticator app
  • Enter the newest 6-digit code

Restart setup (if needed)

  • Return to the setup screen
  • Re-scan the QR code or enter the setup key manually

Still not working?

  • Try using a different authenticator app
  • Contact support to reset MFA setup
