Definitions, Base Reports, Instances
A report Definition provides the foundation from which all Beeline Enterprise Base Reports are built. Each Definition indicates which fields can be used in any specific Base Report. In turn, Base Reports provide the foundation from which all Instance Reports are created. Together, this combination of “definition”, “base”, and “instance” provide a powerhouse of reporting capability.

Workforce Intelligence Matrix
A major factor in successfully using our Workforce Intelligence is knowing which report type to use. The matrix displayed below is designed to help guide a user to understand the reports available and when to use them.

Another key factor to consider is what aspect of the Beeline Enterprise Lifecycle needs to be the focus of your report. Does the report need to have a broad focus to reflect procurement, sourcing, or assignment management, or a narrow focus to reflect specific instances of the overall workflow as displayed below.

Determine what type, and to what detail level you need your report to be when selecting which report type to use. Descriptions for the various types of reports can be found in the following articles:
♦ Standard Reports: Contingent Staffing
♦ Standard Reports: Services Procurement
♦ Standard Reports: Resource Tracking
♦ Standard Reports: Outsourced Workers*
*Outsourced Services was an earlier form of Resource Tracking. These reports are only maintained and available for legacy users.
